Christmas 2007

We had a wonderful Christmas day, Levi of up at dawn the sun was just beginning to shine. Was not too sure what to make of the presents Santa had delivered during the night, a bit much to take in, saw the bike and grabbed it straight away.

Poppy Guru & Auntie Hollie popped in for the morning, opened some presents with Levi, it was all getting a bit much for him so he had to have a break and watch Play School.

Lunch was organised by Nana, Steve, MB & MDR at my place, it was delicious and we all ate too much. Uncle Paul & Mami popped in however they had to head into work.

Levi got lots of wonderful gifts which will bring him hours of enjoyment, thank you.

Over the weekend we upgraded Levi to his Uncle Paul's king single bed, he was wrapped, especially with the truck sheets. The last 2 nights have been very trying with bed time. Tonight I put him to bed and he kept coming to the door, calling out and crying, so I lay beside him until he fell asleep, of course as soon as left the room he woke up. Being well past his bed time I left him, and there was silence, so a bit latter checked on him, only to find that he had fallen asleep on the tiles beside the door so that I couldn't enter the room, I squeezed in and transferred him to his big bed, it was pretty funny.

Hot Hot Hot

Today was a sinker of a day, the first day of summer that it has been like this. Being the first day of December, fist thing this morning we assembled the Christmas tree. It is looking good and Levi likes looking at it, already one breakage, however since the breakage he has be cautious around the tree.

Being a hot afternoon decided we would go for a swim, headed off, got to the pool and it was closed, the pool always seems to be closed when I go up there, stopped in at a friends on the way home who has a pool and they were not home. So it was back home to play in the back yard with the hose, Bear even joined in.

Weekend

It has been a big weekend for the little fellow, Saturday morning Granny and I took Levi to Kindygym at the local Gymnasium centre. Kindygym is for ages 2-4 and runs for an hour there is 2 classes weekdays and 1 on Saturday's. An obstacle course is set up, some of the things set up were, a tunnel to crawl through, plank and ladder to walk across a big foam pit to swing into and jump in, trampolines, they also did a couple of group activities, it was quite a full on hour and overwhelming but highly enjoyable for Levi.

A couple of hours latter Nana Annie & Papa Steve arrived in Cairns and have set up there new Jayco camper van in the backyard, Nanna Annie has made an impression on Levi especially her supplie of yummy lollies, he is absolutely wrapped to have them here, and has made himself at home in there van.

Enjoyable

The little man is doing well, he is very happy that Granny & Grandpa have returned from their long holiday, he enjoyed receiving postcards while they were away, he would always give them a kiss.

Auntie Hollie has returned back to Cairns and he enjoys playing with her and trying to be the boss.

He is getting better everyday at speaking, today's new word is "happy" he kept repeating this when he got up this morning, he must have known that we were going to spend the day together, no work or school.

At the moment he is really into playing with his toy cars. Sometime I think he thinks he is a car, the other day when I picked him up from day care 2 little ones were at the door and he says "beep, beep."

A Couple of Words From the Little Man

News

The little man has settled in to his new day care well, "he is one of the gang now" reported from the head of his group. He is big on art and craft which they do everyday, he brought home a green butterfly painting and was very pleased with what he has created.

It is amazing how boys seem so interested in cars, trucks, buses and trains. The cane train track is over our back fence and when he hears it coming he always runs out to have a look and wave to the driver, occasionally they will give him a little "toot."

The Going Ons

My little baby has turned into a toddler! He is growing up so quickly and is like a sponge. He is getting good with pronunciation of words, and can repeat some words that I say to him, he has a really soft spot for animals, however insists a horse says moo not neigh.

He is enjoying swimming looks forward to going each week and his teacher says he is very obliging with instructions.

Whenever we visit Granny's he likes to hang out in the garage if Grandpa is home and do some male bonding, if not he will happily get up to trouble in the house, he always grabs the photo of his Uncle of the side board and walks around with it.

This week he commences day care at a little private centre close to my work, his day care mum is expecting the arrival of her first borne. I will be working 4 days per week and am hoping to finish around 4-4.30, it will be nice to have him close by.

Come on come on, lets go I've got the keys and my bag what is the hold up here? As soon as he cottons on to what is happening it has to happen immediately, here is a photo of him ready and rearing to go to day care.

Sandpit

Poppy Guru came over yesterday and built Levi this huge sandpit, it is great! Levi loves it. Sure to be hours of entertainment. Went and checked it out this morning and surprisingly there were no dog footprints.

Latest Craze

Levi has developed his own sense of individuality and style, his latest craze is to wear a swim nappy over the top of his clothing...................................do you think this will catch on?

The keen gardener, together we planted some tomato & capsicum seeds and when at home I put them out to get some sun, Levi scatters the pots around the garden.
