An Afternoon at The Park

The young boy has been grumpy ever since he woke up this morning, a little out of sorts, there must be more teeth on the way. Being such a lovely day thought I would go on an outing to the park to take his mind off the pain. We were a bit early for the swings, he did however enjoy the slide and then got a bit daring on the rails he definitely has no fear.

First Birthday

We had a wonderful day celebrating Levi's first birthday, thank you to all who attended and sent happy birthday wishes. Amazingly the weather cleared, after a monsoonal week, a beautiful blue breezy day - a great day to spend at the beach. Below are a couple of photos to best describe the day.

The Countdown Is On

Only 7 more sleeps until Levi's 1st Birthday Party, wow I can not believe it is coming up to a year already! The invitations have been sent I have to give Avery (Avery - Home Corner Creations) a plug, as on the world wide web everything has a price and they have templates and clip art for free to download.

Today Levi and I hit the shopping centre and picked up some party supplies, kept to the outdoors beach theme, there are some amazing things - for example I got some disposable serving dishes that are shaped like a palm tree. I am looking forward to creating the cake with Granny keep posted to see what we create.

Had a pretty relaxed weekend, caught up with Poppy Guru today which was great as we have not seen him in a couple of weeks. Levi was charming and enjoyed playing and showing how he is walking and climbing.

Busy Wednesday

What a day we had yesterday, busy, busy, busy. Began with Swimming lessons, another week another birthday, this week was Chloe's our walking buddie, and we headed out for an early dinner with Granny, Uncle and Mami. Today I think we might just take it easy, kick back and relax ........ it is stinking hot so may head up to the public swimming pool. See how our day pans out.

Birthday Season

Levi has had a busy weekend, Saturday we headed up to Clifton Beach for Holly's (baby from mummy club) 1st birthday. A beautiful day, perfect weather for the beach and a lovely ocean breeze. Levi had a great time cruising around the picnic area, playing with his buddies, playing in the sand and pigging out on cake.

Levi is the youngest baby in the group, 2 more baby birthday parties before he gets to celebrate his birthday.

Today we headed in to see Mami and Uncle Paul for Mami birthday BBQ, had a great time.

A Hot Sunday Afternoon

Time Flys

Gees time flys, the babies from the mummy club are starting to turn 1! Today we mummys meet up at Maze Mania to celebrate Riley's birthday, there was a home made cake decorated as a bear, party hats and of course singing happy birthday. We had a great time ended up spending 3 hours there.

Maze Mania is a great place to hang out with the little ones, there is a section for under 3's, made up of a ball pit, a couple of little slides and a padded climbing enclosure, hours of entertainment.

Baby Steeps + Photos

It is so exciting, Levi is close to walking, the most steeps he has done are 3. Just needs to build up his confidence more and he will be running around the house and garden soon.

Swimming lessons are going well, it is a work out for the both of us.

It has been raining up here so we have not been out and about much,.

Return to Work

I have been a bit slack with taking photos, so there are none to add at this stage.

I have returned back to work on a part time basis, working 2 days per week, this is my second week and am getting back into the swing of things. Levi is attending Family Day Care and loving it he has made a couple of buddies, Sam who is 2.5 and like a bull dozer - very cute and Kyle who is in primary school, Levi thinks he is just great and is always pointing at him and making noises.

Favourite toys at the moment are

• Archive Box - loves the fact that it can be opened and closed and can put things in, and can climb into
  
• Laundry Basket - the perfect height for him to push around the house and put things in and out
• Books - I think because it is something we do together

It is beautiful and sunny up here so we will have to get out and about and get some new photos.

Yay!..........Swimming Is Back On

Today was Levi`s first swimming lesson of the year. Of course he loved every minuet of being in the pool and was very animated when his head was above the water. He crashed after woods, sleeping for about 2.5 hours, I got to have a rest as well, an added bonus.

The Great Outdoors

Levi is so content to be outdoors, I have a lovely big yard so we spend a lot of time out there, however avoid the middle of the day as there is very little shade.

Another tooth popped through on the 4th of January to the right of his top front tooth. This one was did not cause as much grief as the other 4.

What Is Comming Up For The New Year

Already 9 days into the new year, gees time flys. This year we will be celebrating Levi's first birthday - any suggestions???? Swimming lessons will commence again end of January beginning of February, really looking forward to them - we have been doing lots of swimming. Also hopefully we will catching up with family. Keep posted.................

We Had A Wonderful Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas we had. We stayed in a stunning apartment at Trinity Beach, with Granny, Grandpa and Uncle. Christmas morning was a bit overwhelming for young Levi, people congregating and presents to open.

It was wonderful to spend Christmas with the family, Nana & Steve making the road trip from Charters Towers and Poppy Guru popping up for the morning.

There was a swimming pool in the complex so there was lots of swimming, and a visit to the beach to explore the sand - a first! No swimming at the beach though.

Surprisingly Levi loved the tradition Christmas Pudding that Granny prepared he couldn't get enough of it, I say surprisingly as it is quite strong in flavour. I love it.

First Christmas Party

The weather in Cairns was a bit dodgy yesterday so one of the mums hosted the Christmas Party. Great fun, Christmas carols playing, babies playing, lots of food as we all took along a plate. We gathered up all of the bubs and handed out the Secret Santa presents they were not to sure what to make of them, with assistance they got the presents open and all started playing with their new toys.
